Fire Safety Awareness

Course Aim

This in-house accredited Fire Safety Awareness training gives candidates a core understanding of workplace fire safety, common causes of fires and what to do in an emergency.

By providing employees with this training, employers can reduce the risk of fire and injury in their workplace as well as fulfil their duty to provide employees with sufficient training and information on fire safety as guided by the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006.

 

Course Content

By the end of the course, you will have an understanding of: 

 

  • Basic fire safety and the fire triangle
  • Common causes of fires
  • The basic principles of fire risk control
  • What to do in the event of an emergency
  • Fire signage and evacuation routes
  • Understand the types of extinguishers and their uses
Where to attend

Courses are held at our training centre in Kirkcaldy, delivered by our team of instructors.

This course can also be delivered to groups at your location, or at a location close to you.

Assessment

Candidates are assessed with 1x multiple choice theory assessment

Who should attend

This course would be relevant those who have a responsibility for fire safety in the workplace. 

There are no candidate pre-requisites for this course.
