The IPAF 3a & 3b course is delivered by independent IPAF Approved Training Providers and aims to ensure operatives have the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate powered access equipment, covering two powered access products – Mobile Vertical (3a) + Mobile Boom (3b).

Courses are held at the Midfield Skills Development Centre in Kirkcaldy, delivered by independent PASMA Approved Training Providers.
This course can also be delivered to groups at your location, or at a location close to you.
Raeburn Training works in partnership with IPAF Approved Training Providers across the UK to promote the training they deliver, helping employers and individuals access accredited IPAF training locally.
Candidates will undergo practical training and assessment as well as a written theory test.
The IPAF 3a and 3b course is designed for operators of powered access equipment, also known as cherry pickers or mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) to demonstrate that they are trained and competent to operate MEWPs.
Candidates for IPAF courses must be at least 16 years of age. They must be medically fit to operate machinery.
Candidates must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest, Harness & Adjustable Restraint Lanyard.
