Fire Warden

Course Aim

Fire Warden training is designed for employees that re responsible for overseeing fire safety and designated fire marshals in the workplace. The course is also suitable for anyone needing to know how to use a fire extinguisher of those whose fire risk assessment indicates a requirement for fire marshal/fire warden training.

This course can be delivered as an in-house certification or QualSafe accredited.

Course Content

By the end of the course, you will have an understanding of: 

  • How to action the appropriate procedures on discovering a fire.
  • Common causes and risks of fire
  • How to plan and execute fire drills and evacuation routes
  • Fire safety legislation
  • Fire safety precautions
  • The chemistry of fire
  • The role and responsibilities of a fire marshal/warden
  • How to use fire extinguishers – this course includes the option for practical use of extinguishers.
Where to attend

Courses are held at our training centre in Kirkcaldy, delivered by our team of instructors.

This course can also be delivered at your location, or at a location close to you for groups of 4+ candidates.

Assessment

One multiple choice theory test.
