Employability Academies

A Training Academy is the ideal way to ensure that new entrants to industries or organisations can be provided with the initial training they require in order to be safe, compliant, and prepared for their new role.

Or are you an employer looking to recruit from a pool of qualified candidates eager to enter a new industry, equipped with their safety credentials?

Raeburn Training are a growing force for delivering employability academies across Scotland and work with a range of candidates supporting them into new industries, one of the most popular being the construction sector.

Candidate groups vary per funding stream or per specific cohorts and includes -

  • School pupils nearing official school leaving age
  • Specific age groups such as 16-18 year old or 18-25 years old that are unemployed or underemployed
  • Care leavers
  • Service veterans
  • Refugees and migrants

Raeburn Training work in partnership with employability teams across Scotland, to develop varied training solutions including hands-on and classroom based courses equipping candidates with industry knowledge, safety skills and core skills to help them succeed in the workplace.

The academy format is bespoke, with previous academies being based around -

  • 1 week classroom delivery
  • 1 week classroom / practical delivery
  • 3 week classroom / practical delivery
  • 13 week classroom / practical delivery with supported work experience

CSCS Training and Testing
Confined Space Awareness
IPAF 3a/3b and PASMA

Raeburn Training deliver these academies by being candidate centric, taking the time to understand the needs of each cohort then individually each learner, working at at a suitable speed and creating a positive learning environment.  We offer access to learning support, supporting candidates who need assistance with reading and writing or where the English language is not a first language.  We aim to ensure all candidates leave feeling confident and competent.
