Employer Academies

Employer Academies

A Training Academy is the ideal way to ensure that new entrants to industries or organisations can be provided with the initial training they require in order to be safe, compliant, and prepared for their new role.

Whether you are onboarding new staff or upskilling your existing workforce, our employer-led training academies are designed to deliver job-ready safety skills tailored to your business needs. Delivered across Scotland, Raeburn Training provide hands-on, practical training aligned to industry standards and specific role requirements.

Where the academy forms part of corporate social responsibility initiatives, there is also industry-specific funding available to support employers looking to run a programme.

Each academy is designed bespoke to the employer, programmes vary in length but are typically between one to three weeks, and includes high-demand qualifications.  A typical academy for the construction / engineering sector would include courses such as:

  • REHIS Elementary Health & Safety
  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at Heights
  • Vehicle Marshal
  • Fire Safety / Warden
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • CSCS Training and Testing
  • Confined Space Awareness
  • IPAF 3a/3b
  • PASMA
  • Plant Equipment
  • Hot Works and HAVS
  • Risk Assessments
  • Hot Work Permits

The benefit of Raeburn Training academies for employers include:

  • helps to attract candidates to roles where recruitment has been challenging.
  • supports community benefit initiatives (work placements / employment).

In addition, employer-led academies -

  • are flexible with course schedules and content able to be tailored to suit specific employer needs.
  • are cost-effective to train candidates as a group rather than individuals.

Our programmes ensure your team is safe, certified, and ready to work from day one. Contact our team to discuss setting up a tailored academy for your next intake or workforce development plans.
