First Aid at Work – Requalification

This REHIS accredited course is intended for individuals who already hold a valid First Aid at Work qualification and wish to renew it for another three years. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly advises completing this course before your current certificate expires.

The First Aid at Work (Requalification) Course includes all learning objectives from the First Aid at Work Course:

• Understand the role of a first-aider, including preventing cross infection, recording incidents, and using equipment.
• Assess situations and act promptly and safely in emergencies.
• Administer first aid to an unconscious casualty, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator.
• Provide first aid for a choking casualty, a casualty with wounds and bleeding, and a casualty suffering from shock.
• Offer appropriate first aid for minor injuries and specific conditions like injuries to bones, muscles, and joints, chest injuries, burns, scalds, eye injuries, sudden poisoning, and anaphylactic shock.
• Recognise major illnesses and provide appropriate first aid for a heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, and diabetes.
