Qualitative Face Fit Testing and Training provides essential guidance for anyone required to wear tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE) in the workplace. It focuses on the importance of a proper face seal, how to conduct a qualitative fit test, and how to correctly use and maintain RPE to ensure maximum protection.
It is a legal requirement that anyone required to wear respiratory protective equipment (RPE) uses a mask that is suitable and correctly fitted to the individual. Our qualitative face fit testing is suitable for all half-face reusable and disposable RPE and ensures compliance with UK health and safety regulations. This service supports a safer working environment and can be delivered flexibly to suit your organisation’s specific needs.
Quantitative Face Fit Testing and Fit2Fit accredited training can be arranged on request.
A safety briefing or toolbox talk is included as part of the fit testing process. It is at the client’s discretion whether this includes a full RPE awareness training session. Prior to testing, a health assessment will be conducted to confirm the individual's suitability to proceed.
The safety briefing covers the following key areas:
The importance of wearing RPE
Types of RPE and appropriate selection
Correct donning of the mask and performing a fit check
Care, maintenance, and storage of RPE
Roles and responsibilities of both the user and employer
