On Monday, Derek and Calum had a stall at the event. It was fantastic to see so many young people exploring their future careers and having conversations about the wide range of opportunities available within the construction industry.
A great event showcasing the full journey into employment for new entrants. Attendees heard from different parts of the business and had the chance to experience a variety of working stations linked to specific roles, helping them understand which pathway might suit them best.
Thank you to EAS for inviting Sarah, our director and Roger from Kingdom Works to speak about the job readiness and training support entrants will receive as they begin their careers.
We also reviewed key performance indicators for 2026, including continued support for work placements, which are an important step in helping young people choose their careers. With around 20% of school leavers moving directly into the workplace, many will begin through apprenticeships, helping shape the workforce of the future.
Apprenticeships continue to play a vital role in building the future workforce, and we're proud to support both employers and new entrants every step of the way.
