Course Aim

The CSCS Touch Screen Test also known as CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test is an important qualification to have for construction workers. Having a CSCS Card is a good way for construction workers to show that they can be safe on the job. This course aims to prepare you for the HS&E Touch Screen Test, by reviewing the test format, introducing you to the software, completing a mock test and reviewing key sections.

Course Content

The course prepares candidates for undertaking the Operatives CITB HSE test.

The instructor will cover each of the five core knowledge areas: 

  • legal and management 
  • health and welfare 
  • general safety 
  • high risk activities 
  • environment 

A copy of the CITB Op\Spec HS&E Test App is required when attending this session. This should be downloaded onto the candidate’s device via the Apple or Android app store, prior to attending the session.

A mock test is conducted via the app, ensuring candidates understand how to answer the style of questions and cover any areas of concern.

Individuals and groups of up to 8 learners

This course would be relevant for people who are preparing to undertake the HS&E Test.

There are no candidate pre-requisites for this course.

This course is held at our training centre in Kirkcaldy, and delivered by our team of instructors.



This is a 1/2 day Instructor-led course


There is no formal assessment for this course. Completing this course will prepare candidates to take the CSCS Touch Screen Test.
