Course Aim

This course is designed to give an understanding and awareness of effective safety management in the workplace.  Supervising Safely will give the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues that Supervisors are responsible for every day.

The course will cover:

The Supervisors role
Hazards, risks and control measures
Improving safety performance
Understanding responsibilities
Communications
Environmental awareness

Training is delivered in a classroom environment, with group interaction throughout.

Candidate Numbers
Minimum of 4 delegates, maximum of 12 delegates

Who should attend

Supervising Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. 

How to prepare

There are no candidate pre-requisites for this course.

Duration

2 days

Assessment

Candidates will be required to contribute and engage throughout the course, with the instructor continually observing each candidate to monitor their learning and understanding.

Assessment is via a 22-question examination paper and an unsafe act spotting project.

Validity

The IOSH Supervising Safely certificate does not have an expiry date, however IOSH do recommend that you take a refresher course every five years to keep your knowledge up to date.
