The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is a practical course designed to give individuals a basic knowledge and understanding of the causes of food poisoning, measures for prevention and the legal aspects of food hygiene in Scotland.

Who should attend

The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene course is suitable for any food handler working in restaurants, hotels, bars, nurseries, residential homes and also those involved in day care.  

There are no candidate pre-requisites for this course.

Where to attend

Courses are held at our training centre in Kirkcaldy, delivered by our team of trusted instructors.

This course can also be delivered to groups at your location.

1-Day course

Assessment

1 x multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course.

Validity

REHIS Food Hygiene training certification is valid for 3 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.
